Roles Overview:
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals for the following positions:

• Pastoral Care Lead
• Pastoral Care Worker

In these pivotal roles, you will ensure our values and mission are at the heart of our practices, fostering a person-centred approach to care.

Pastoral Care Lead Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the pastoral care team, providing a holistic approach to services.
• Manage all aspects of chaplaincy, pastoral care, and related activities.
• Support new residents by conducting spiritual needs assessments.
• Deliver effective services that cater to the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of our residents.
• Conduct staff reviews in collaboration with the Facility Manager.

Pastoral Care Worker Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing pastoral care to residents, ensuring their spiritual and emotional needs are met.
• Collaborate with the Pastoral Care Lead to implement programs and activities that promote resident well-being.
• Support new residents in their transition, helping them feel welcomed and valued.
• Engage with residents from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds, respecting and honoring their traditions.

About You:

• Relevant qualifications in Pastoral Care, Theology, Spirituality, or Counselling (minimum Clinical Pastoral Education or working towards it).
• Strong understanding of the principles of Catholic teaching, tradition, and ecumenism.
• Availability to work across a seven-day roster.
• Queensland Provisional Green Licence or above.
• Proven experience in team leadership for the Pastoral Care Lead; experience in pastoral care for the Pastoral Care Worker role.
• Eligibility as an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or visa holder with no work restrictions
• Current Police Check.
