Consultant Psychiatrist – 1 Day/Week

cmr|Cornerstone Medical Recruitment is partnering with a not-for-profit organisation focused on empowering individuals with mental health and psychosocial disabilities to live independently and thrive.

We are currently seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team for one day per week (flexible on which day), on a 12-month contract (with possibility of extension). This role is ideal for someone who values collaboration, early intervention and a different model of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for people in crisis or experiencing psychological distress.
• Clinical support and consultation to the team with the planning of comprehensive and integrated interventions
• Participation in case reviews and shared care planning
• Collaborate with external services for continuity of care

About You:

• Valid AHPRA registration and Fellowship with RANZCP
• Experience in adult psychiatry, including ADHD and ASD
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care
• Strong knowledge of the mental health system, government policy and legislation, and professional standards and codes of ethics as they pertain to working with people and their mental health.
