Social Worker – Inpatient Mental Health

Location: Richmond, NSW

Contract: 6-month locum

Start Date: April 2025

cmr | Cornerstone Medical Recruitment is seeking Social Workers with a strong interest in mental health to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team in an inpatient setting. This role involves working with clients facing significant life challenges, including PTSD, addictions, and complex mental health conditions.

About the Role:

• Conduct psychosocial assessments to understand clients’ needs and strengths.
• Assist with care planning, discharge coordination, and referrals to community services.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and ensure access to appropriate services.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams to support recovery.
• Work closely with psychologists, nurses, and other Allied Health professionals to deliver holistic care.

About You:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Social Worker in a similar setting.
• Strong interest in mental health and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Confident working both independently and collaboratively.
