Locum Dental Assistant – QLD Health Client

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Dental Assistant to join our busy QLD Health client, supporting a range of specialist clinics located within the Oral Health Centre in Herston.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a very busy, modern, well-equipped clinical environment, while working alongside a dedicated team of oral health professionals.

Position Overview

As a cmr Locum Dental Assistant, you will provide chairside support across multiple specialist services within the Oral Health Centre. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth clinical operations and a high standard of patient care, while adhering to Queensland Health policies and procedures.

Key Details

• Location: Oral Health Centre, Herston

• Engagement Type: Casual – shifts around your availability but up to 5 days a week available

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:00am – 4:30pm (No weekends!)

Key Requirements

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting (mandatory)

• Certificate IV in Dental Radiography (highly regarded)

• Experience in Orthodontic specialty (highly regarded)

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience in a clinical setting

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication, organisational, and infection control skills

Desirable Attributes

• Experience within public health or hospital-based oral health settings is not esssential, but will be highly regarded

• Adaptability to work across various clinical specialties and provide excellent chairside assistance

• A proactive and professional approach to patient care and team collaboration
